Owner Jared Andrews (an enrolled member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians).
North Shore Lawn Works, a new Harbor Springs based lawn maintenance business, started by Owner Jared Andrews (an enrolled member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians) is well on
its way to success with help from Northern Shores Loan Fund, Inc.
“North Shore Lawn Works started in October 2009 after continued requests for my lawn and maintenance services outside of the company I was working for due to the high quality of my work. It was a risk, but business ownership was something I’ve always wanted to do, and felt like it was time to make that move”, stated Jared.
When Jared needed to purchase a more dependable truck to continue to build upon his company’s reliability, he turned to Northern Shores Loan Fund, Inc. for assistance.
“As a new business owner with a young business, it is difficult to obtain traditional bank financing for these essential needs,” stated Lisa McComb, Executive Director. “We are excited about the opportunity to assist another new business in Northern Michigan and contribute to growing the economy in this region” stated McComb.
North Shore Lawn Works is a full service lawn care company whose services in Northern Michigan include seasonal cleanups, lawn sweeping, thatching, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, planting, gardening, weeding, leaf and brush removal, tree trimming, power washing and snow removal.
